yay for rain!

just got back from church. Matt came and led worship with Elle which was totally awesome! Aaron's message today really made me think. He read off some very scary statistics that just left me speechless. The bottom line of it all is that we as christians are living in a world that is dying more and more every day and we just dont seem passionate enough about it. We know that when it all comes down to it we're okay and we're going to heaven and we think that because we're saved, thats it. No, thats not it. Actually, its just the beginning. We have the chances and opportunites to really effect the lives of those around us if we try. However this first starts with genuinely caring about everyone around you, esp those who dont know Christ.If we as christians shun the lost and condemn them then we're just being hipocrites and pushing them further away from God. We first have to realize that we are no better than them, we too are sinners. I think this idea is key when it comes to helping those who are lost. We're all real people, we're not perfect...we never have been and we never will be but thats okay. I think thats the most humbling thing about being a christian. I know that i'm not perfect and no matter how hard i try i never will be. I'm always going sin and do things i shouldnt but its because of Jesus that i'm forgiven and restored. Wow, thats comforting.

I had coffee with Alyx Loos last night, man i've missed that girl. I was thinking about it the other day and i really havent seen alot of my isa friends this summer...i need to do that. I miss those kids.

talked to Josh last night. It was weird. It seemed as though we just forced ourselves through conversation for the sake of talking. I found myself very annoyed with certain things and it just seemed like we were on the borderline of just bickering back and forth. I hope things get better and less weird.

going shopping with Jeanette today to finally pick up my new perfume, its most def. time for something new :)
